Mar 17th: Eastern Capitals Fly In

VATCAN and VATUSA in cooperation with Toronto, Montreal, Moncton, and Boston are pleased to announce the Eastern Capitals Flyin Event. It will be on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 1700-2100 UTC (1200 - 1600 EST).

Pilots are to depart from one of the featured capital airports (Albany, Boston, Fredericton, Charlottetown, Halifax, Toronto and Quebec.) and then land in Ottawa (CYOW). Or pilots will depart from Ottawa and land at any of the featured airports. Of course other destinations other that featured airports will be accepted, although to get the full experience of the event it is highly recommended to fly to or from the featured airports.

Mar 10-11th: Avianca Fly-in

VATSIM COLOMBIA - COLATC, together with Latin America’s finest Virtual Airline Avianca Virtual, will host AVIANCA OPERATIONS FLY-IN in its second version. An event designed to simulate maximum realism conditions of the real airline’s movement.

All VA’s and individual pilots are cordially invited to join us this coming March Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 between 12:00z y 03:00z. Full ATC services, VATSIM’s finest, will be provided in Colombia and contiguous countries.

Mar 11th: Knik Glacier VFR Tour

Members of the Anchorage ARTCC will be conducting a guided tour of the Knik Glacier on Sunday March 11 2007.

This VFR event will start at Anchorage (PANC) and proceed North then East to the Knik Glacier and Lake George. After a tour of the Glacier and Lake George the flight will end at the Palmer (PAAQ) Municipal Airport.

The ARTCC will provide the VFR sectional map and flight plans for FSNavigator and FS9 GPS. Please choose an aircraft that can cruise comfortably at 170 Knots like the Baron 58. There will be two tours. The first departs Anchorage at 1800 ZULU and the second at 2300 ZULU. The flights are approximately one hour long.

Mar 10th: New York ARTCC Nor-Easter 07

The Nor' Easter is coming. The storm is going to pound the New York area, but we're ready for it. New York ARTCC's finest will be shoveling out and meeting together to control on Saturday, March 10th from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm EST (2100Z to 0300Z) to provide some exceptional and realistic service.

Tackle world-famous Kennedy Int'l, try a Cheese Steak in Philly, enjoy
the Manhattan skyline flying into LaGuardia, or simply touch down at
Newark Int'l.
