Jan 27th: Rocky Mountain Rumble

Tired of being locked in the house by cold, ice and snow? Looking for a new
twist on your flying? Well it is that time of year again and vZDV is hosting their biggest event of the year, featuring some of the greatest airports around. Denver Co, (KDEN) Colorado Springs Co, (KCOS) and Aspen Co, (KASE) are among those most have heard of. But they just break the surface, with a number of great Class D airports spread through the Rocky mountains and foothills which surround them.

If you really want to see what its like to fly in vZDV airspace in the real world, this is the event for you. Dozens of 14,000+ foot snow-capped mountains, beautiful scenery, challenging terrain, weather which can change on you in minutes; to some of the most dedicated and best trained controllers anywhere, this is one event you do not want to miss. Visit www.denartcc.org/rumble/ for all of the charts, pilot tutorials, Aspen reservations and routes you will need.

Traffic will start roaring Saturday, January 27th at 1900z-2300z /
12:00-4:00PM Mountain. We will be there waiting for you. Don't miss it!

We can handle the traffic, can you handle the fun?"
