On Sunday May 4th VATDRC hosts the Libreville Heavy Duty event and the best controllers in Central Africa will be online to make it happen. We intend to create a seriously busy day at this gateway to Central Africa on its single runway. Libreville (FOOL) will be fully staffed for the very first time on VATSIM from 1700 to 2200Z and ATC will also be provided at Brazzaville(FCBB) and Kinshasa(FZAA), so we recommend these routes to make the best of the event.

Apr 12th: ZLA Certifiable Saturday
Los Angeles ARTCC is pleased to announce the first event specifically designed to support the ZLA Pilot Cert Program, from 10am-2pm PDT (1700-2100z).
This is a great opportunity for pilots who have considered joining the program to dive in and receive full ATC support while they pursue their first few ratings. Pilots who have already started the program can use this opportunity to knock out several ratings in a row.
Already finished all the ratings? How about re-flying them in a more sparsely equipped airplane? Try it in an aircraft with dual VOR, but no GPS or DME! Or, feel free to simply fly around Southern California and enjoy the ATC as you watching large volumes of GA traffic in the pattern, transitioning LAX, or shooting approaches.
Featured airports (either by TWR or overlying APP) include:
LAX, LAS (Class B)
SNA, ONT, BUR (Class C)
CRQ (Class D)
Details of the event are available HERE
If anyone has any questions about this event, please feel free to post them in the vatsim.net forum thread.
